Steps to Success

Make college a success

Balance college and a social lifeCollege shouldn't be all work and no play, but keep in mind why you're going to college and the financial commitment you made to be there.

Here are some tips to balance your college course load and social life:

  • Take control over how you manage your time.
  • Study in the library, not your dorm room or home.
  • Rank your schoolwork and social activities in order of importance.
  • Do what you want to do, not what your friends want you to do.
  • Make time for yourself.
  • Get enough sleep, eat well, exercise regularly and visit the doctor at the first signs of a health problem.
  • Be the best you can be. Don't compare yourself to others.
  • Get involved in activities, but not too many.
