Here are some tips to help manage your money at college:

  • Figure out a weekly budget and stick to it.
  • Save any money you can and look for the best deals.
  • Record your purchases, keep track of debit card purchases and balance your bank statement.
  • Pay your bills on time.
  • Only borrow what you absolutely need to pay for college. Be sure you got all the FREE money possible first.
  • Don't spend money you don't have with credit cards.
  • Don't pay for college with a credit card.
  • Have only one credit card and only use it for emergencies.
